Usage:

A function generator can produce a variety of wave shapes. These wave shapes are produced over a range of frequencies. In order to use a function generator, it is to be powered on and the output signal is to be configured to the desired shape. For this, simply connect both the signal and ground leads to an oscilloscope. Once the desired output signal is achieved, the ground and signal leads from the function generator need to be connected to the input and ground of whichever device is to be tested.
